And, my first photoshoot in a greenhouse in the outskirts of Rotterdam, that used to be a rose farm and now is overgrown with a cornucopia of berries, courgettes, grapes.
Yophi Ignacia is the founder of The Future Mode, where she explores design, research and provides consultancy in sustainable fashion. Her background is in fashion design, product development and durable design solutions.
The purpose of shoot was to create a colourful and varied bank of images for Yophi to use publicly, showing her creativity and work in the fashion space, as well as evoking nature and sustainability, which are central to her work. Here's what she had to say about the shoot.
More recently, Yophi used one of the images from the shoot to include in a book, 'Goede Gespreksstof’ by Fibershed. The book is aimed at informing young people about the complex topics surrounding the fashion industry, and features inspiring entrepreneurs, designers and experts in the field of textiles and clothing.
I can't wait to see Yophi in this new book, and to see what else she creates through her sustainable fashion work.
